Parrot Cake Recipe
First of all, does the parrot eat cake? We answer the question; This recipe is valid for large parrot breeds. But with small changes in the ingredients, you can also prepare cakes for your small group parrots.
Parrot Cake Ingredients;
- 15 gr. large cornflakes,
- 50 gr. smaller cornaflakes,
- 75 gr. coconut (you can buy it ground) or you can buy it yourself and grate it,
- 75 gr. (total) finely chopped walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds,
- 50 gr. fame,
- 75 gr. Sesame,
- 50 gr. feed mix suitable for sunflower seeds or parrots,
- 170 gr. flowing honey,
- 65 ml. water,
- 65 ml. sunflower oil,
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Making Parrot Cake;
Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl, starting with the solids first and adding the liquids last. Spread the oiled baking paper on your baking tray, pour the material on top and distribute it evenly with the help of a spoon.
Slide the tray into the oven. Bake at 160 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. Turn off the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. With the help of a knife, divide the cake into pieces, taking into account the size of your parrot. Leave to cool thoroughly in an open corner. Although it is a parrot cake that disperses very quickly when warm, it will become firmer and easy to consume for parrots when completely cooled.
Be sure to store the parrot cakes in a jar or storage container so that they do not go stale.
